Have me-tv a development scheduling?

Asked by Andrea Florio

i wonder if you can explain me how is it possible to have 2 (or more) releases in less than a week. sometimes i must package the same program lots of times because a new release is out..

in my opinion two answers exists...

1) you are not able to code (or find bug) during development ( i don't think so)

2) no sheduling exist, releases are "released" without testin, so when a bug is found a new release is available immediatly...

what about to switch to a more usual development idea?

something like less releases (or called as alpha, beta, rc) with more testing and more stable?

btw, suse 10.2 10.3 11.0 11.1 rpms are available here: http://packman.links2linux.org/package/me-tv

packman repository, i586, x86_64 and pcc

1) This is definitely true, I cannot test for a lot of features because of where I live. If you would like me to remove all features that I don't/can't use then you wouldn't be able to use Me TV, unless you use DVB-T.

2) Releases are released without testing features that I can't test.

3) You forgot this one. When there are new features! You should check the ChangeLog to see what's changed.

I waited 2 months to release 0.8.0 while I waited for testers. People don't seem to want to test development versions, do you? If not, you should ask yourself what you can do to stop releases going out untested.

"sometimes i must package ", you don't have to do anything, this is your choice.
