LottaNZB

Don't understand how i can use "category"

Hello
I'm using the last version of lotta (0.4.0).
I see the "category" column
I see all the different default category in the preference

But i can't understand how i can tell which dowload go in which category.
When i right click on "unknow" category in a dowload row, i don't have any option to change it to another category.

Hi Nicolas Janik,

in LottaNZB 0.4, due to technical limitations, it's not possible to change or set the category of a download after it has been added to the download queue. The category can be set in the "Add" dialog and is automatically set when downloading from Newzbin.com. We know that this is not an acceptable situation. For LottaNZB 0.5, we would like to make it possible to change the category of a download whenever you like to.

Whilst the above answers my question exactly, it got me thinking.

Would it be possible in a future version to have LottaNZB ask the user to choose a category when it detects an nzb file in its monitored directory? This option should be able to be disabled (maybe on the fly) if the situation demands it.

Maybe even a keyword search for automatically assigning a category or using Newzbin's categories.....

Anyway, I've just discovered LottaNZB and I'm loving it. Keep up the great work!

Hi Jim,

you're absolutely right about this. The problem is that HellaNZB doesn't allow us to change the categoy of a download after it has been added to the queue. LottaNZB 0.6 will be based on SABnzbd, which allows us to do just that. We're currently thinking about how to design the categorization UI.
