Ability to use the username 'pubuntu'

Hello,

Username 'pubuntu' does not seem to exist in launchpad,
but I am not able to use it.
Can I use this name for my account?

Hi,

This is currently restricted because of https://ubuntu.com/legal/intellectual-property-policy

> "You will require Canonical’s permission to use: (i) any mark ending with the letters UBUNTU or BUNTU which is sufficiently similar to the Trademarks or any other confusingly similar mark, and (ii) any Trademark in a domain name or URL or for merchandising purposes."

These terms apply not just to names on Launchpad itself, but in general as well.

Have you had any contact with Canonical about your project and tried to get their permission?
