Lost access to username from deleted account

Asked by Tiger Sachse

Hey, I deleted an Ubuntu One account a couple of years ago that used my main username for everything ("tgsachse"). I just recreated an Ubuntu One account because I want to set up a ppa, however I've lost access to the "tgsachse" username because deleting the Ubuntu One account didn't delete the Launchpad account.

How can I get access to this username again? It wouldn't matter much except that it becomes part of the ppa link, so I really would prefer it matches my other public accounts.

Hi, Sachse.

I've just renamed the old tgsachse account to be tgsachse-placeholder.

So, you should be able to edit your username by yourself now at https://launchpad.net/~/+edit.
