Banned ASN, how do we get it unbanned?

Asked by Charalampos Fanoulis

Hello! Our ASN 8248 seems to have been banned from Launchpad. Is there any way to verify that and/or appeal the claim?

Thanks,
~cfan

That ASN isn't banned from Launchpad. Can you explain the symptoms you're seeing?

Hello @wgrant! While running apt update on any of the machines currently on our ASN, Launchpad times out, and does not respond to pings. It is completely whitelisted from all firewalls, any ideas?

Can you provide source and destination IP addresses and traceroutes? It's more likely an Internet routing issue.

Traceroute: https://hasteb.in/kameqexe.md
Destination IP: 91.189.95.83

That host can route back to you fine, so it probably isn't an issue on our end. Do other Canonical hosts, eg. 91.189.89.222 or 91.189.90.132, respond on port 80?
