What about Launchpad security?

Asked by feedfish

I have subscribed to Launchpad code hosting because I find Launchpad great and I love Ubuntu and opensource in general but I have several questions.
For the moment I would use Launchpad as a version system tool and access it from anywhere. My code is not opensource because it comes from my business and I found very confortable to use a VCS to develop. So I'm asking me if there solution to crypt/protect my code?
Secondly I would know if the code is store with encryption or not? I mean that if we could attack the database server can we got the code?

You can purchase a commercial access to host your project on Launchpad. We can give you free access to out private features beta, which allows you to have private branches, bugs, and teams. The code is not encrypted, access requires authentication.

You can learn more about hosting your proprietary project from our FAQ.
FAQ #208: “Can closed-source or proprietary projects use Launchpad?”.
