Please refresh my GPG key

Asked by Siegfried Gevatter

Hi,

My GPG key has expired some days ago and although I've extended it an send it to keyserver.ubuntu.com, Launchpad is rejecting my package uploads.

Robert Collins told me on IRC that this is due to some cache not being updated (I've just found that this is bug #3052, btw) and asked me to file a question here asking for someone to refresh my key, so that's what I'm doing :).

Thanks

Siegfried,

The only errors I could find involving you today were due to a bad dput configuration:

{{{
2008-11-06 21:25:06 WARNING Upload was rejected:
2008-11-06 21:25:06 WARNING Could not find person '<launchpad-id>'
2008-11-06 21:25:06 WARNING Further error processing not possible because of a critical previous error.
}}}

You are fix your pasted ~/.dput.conf replacing '<launchpad-id>' by 'rainct'. Note that you have received an email with this information on <email address hidden>.

About the gpg-update delays, I don't think it's causing any problems, unless the sks database rebuild gets blocked.

Launchpad does not store public keys itself exactly to avoid those kind of delays. When needed, for instance when verifying signatures, the public keys are fetched directly from the keyserver.

So, launchpad uses whatever keyserver.ubuntu.com has to offer. If k.u.c is not up-to-date, then we have a problem.

Oh, stupid me!

You're right, sorry. I thought that there would be no default "ppa" entry and that, as it didn't complain about it, I'd have already added it myself :P.
