Asked by Travis Watkins

Please merge the ubuntu-desktop-effects team into the compiz team. Not the users, just the bug assignments and such.

ubuntu-desktop-effects has 83 active members which will have to be deactivated before the teams can be merged. Are you sure this is the direction you want them merged?

Yes, I'm trying to get rid of the (dead) ubuntu-desktop-effects team. The only people still on the team are people that don't know how to remove themselves or don't care to either way, I'm guessing.

Could you get Jono Bacon to validate your request? It really makes me uneasy to merge a team that has over 70 active memberships -- it is bound to make at least somebody confused.

I would like to keep the more generic team-name "ubuntu-desktop-effects" as an umbrella-term for window-level effects (these days this means compiz) and UI-toolkit-level effects (think: gtk+ 3.x, which we don't have yet... but hopefully in the not too distant future).

Oops... well, for the above mentioned reason I would say "No" to the requested merge of these teams.

Can you help with this problem?
