Rename ~ubuntu-br.am to ~ubuntu-br-am due to incorrect creation

Asked by Laudeci Oliveira

The team name guideline was not followed by the time of its creation, all other groups is using 'ubuntu-br-xx' for the name. Can you guys rename ~ubuntu-br.am to ~ubuntu-br-am?
I've tryied to do that desactivating the mainling list, with no luck, since it must be affected by the change too..

thank you in advance.

No Actually, can't do the rename. The new name already exists:
https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-br-am

Appears to belong to a user.
May I suggest attempting to contact them, see if they're happy to give the name up; and we'll rename all round.

As you may notice, the user is very inactive, I guess it wasactive only by the time of creation, and I forgot to mention that we have tried to contact the user a lot of times through LP itself, with no answer.

I think it's ok to rename it.

Thank you in advance.

I have emailed the current owner of this team to see if they are comfortable with giving up this team name.

I will let you know if I hear back. If I also have no luck, we can then proceed with changing ownership of this team.

Laudeci,

I have renamed the other user's account after repeated attempts to contact them.

Feel free to register a new team using this name now. (we can't rename your existing team because of the mailing list.)

Ayrton, I contacted Michael and two things must be done due to have the correct name for the LoCo,

1 - Rename the LoCo in LP ( not possible when a list exists)
2 - Remove the list, getting all threads lost, rename the LoCo in LP and later recriate the new list.

In the process, Michael found a bug on LP and we must wait it to be fixed to get the changes done.

Thanks for the help, I will be waiting for the fixes.

A bug report was created? I would like to link it in another question for cataloging purposes.
