Why don't you translate HPLIP?

Asked by Jeremy Boy

Dear Madams or Sirs, :)
I just wanted to ask you why you don't want to translate HPLIP?
I would be so thankful if you let me and other users translate this wonderful program into other languages e.g. German or French. If there is any reason for don't letting it translated, please let me know.

Greetings from Germany and Merry Christmas,
Jeremy Boy.

P.S. I hope you are able to understand my bad English, I'm 16 years old and visit the secondary school, so my English is not that good. I hope this'll change until the next 2 and half years. :)

Jeremy,

Actually HPLIP is being localized for many different locales. However I don't have access to the translation schedule right now to tell you when German and French will be supported. I'll send you another note after the new year.

and--your English is great no worries. :)

Thanks for your support of HPLIP!

Aaron

HPLIP is localized in German and French (and few others). There are some
known issues, however. These issues were in the release notes in 2.7.10, I
believe.

Maybe the initial request was about what's displayed when going to : https://translations.launchpad.net/hplip ... ?

Just guessing ;-)

I have translated and submitted the Swedish translation for HPLIP.
Nothing has been commited and the bug is still untouched by the devs.

HPLIP is an essential desktop application which *should* be translated.
