I can't save files

Asked by kev

The save function appears to be disabled. I can save files by Save As each time I want to save, but Ctrl S and the save icon don't work.
Running version downloaded today on Kubuntu Fiesty.

The problem is that you probable open this file as read-only.

The version you uses is probably outdated (3.2 ?).
lastest veriso is 3.5 but not packaged for feisty (should come soon as a backport as been asked from 8.04), you may found an up to date .deb at getdeb website.

I had this issue on V5.0 after the initial install of the software and lost about 2-hours of input. I found later that you must restart your computer after the initial installation before the program will save the master file properly.

Can you help with this problem?
