Can't add the ppa on 14.04

Asked by Stefano Mozart

I receive the following message when trying to add the ppa channel on my 14.04:
"
~$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:danielrichter2007/grub-customizer
Cannot add PPA: 'ppa:danielrichter2007/grub-customizer'.
Please check that the PPA name or format is correct.
"
Has the repository format changed? I remember adding this ppa to a 13.04 installation with no problems.

No. The commands to add my repository didn't change. I tried the command you posted here. It still worked without problems on my system which contains all the available updates.

However I found this: http://askubuntu.com/questions/452595/cannot-add-ppa-behind-proxy-ubuntu-14-04

Maybe this is causing your problem.
