How do I use ground-control?

Hi,

I'm curious to see what ground-control does. I have installed version 1.6.6-1 on my Ubuntu 10.10 installation. The only thing that I can see in nautilus is an "update" button for each code branch I have on disk.

I can't see any user manual on your website, and the videos are unplayable for me (the best I get is a stuttering video for 30 seconds before the whole thing jams and I have to kill the browser). I have scanned the nautilus menus, Applications menu, context-sensitive menus, and cannot find any additional functionality.

I assume that ground-control is supposed to do more than let me update by code branches, but I can't see how to use it. I regard myself as being a reasonably technical user, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to use your software.

I'd be grateful for some hints or pointers in the right direction, or better yet: a user manual!

So the first thing is to go into your System > Preferences menu and launchpad the ground control configuration. From there you should log into launchpad.

I would also advise you to install from the ppa too as that has some bug fixes not in the repositories yet. https://edge.launchpad.net/~doctormo/+archive/groundcontrol

When you've logged on there is a new folder in your home folder which is for Projects, it allows you to download projects from launchpad.

You should also find that bzr branches with changes should display other buttons, commit, revert etc.

Thanks! I hadn't seen the extra menu item under 'Preferences'.

You may wish to consider putting basic instructions up on your website perhaps.
