Yes, this feature has been planned and even included into the documentation.

Unfortunately, multiple VMs to volume attachment was implemented in Cinder only, but implementation in Nova was delayed even in future Liberty release and did not appeared before MOS 7.0 release date.

As a result it is still impossible to attach several instances to the single volume with OpenStack (Nova).

We are going to correct the related article in our documentation.

There is hope Mirantis will back-port this feature to one of the upcoming OpenStack Kilo releases and make it available in scope of maintenance updates to MOS 7.0.
