Do

structured translation

Asked by Adi Roiban

Can you please the translation model for your project from open to structured ?

By using the open model everybody can add translations and there is no way to assure translation quality.

By using the structured mode, everybody can add suggestions and only members of a translation team can validate the translations.

Many thanks!
Adi

I second what Adi said. The translation model for the project, as it is now, allows for practically anybody to freely modify what has been translated. Assigning it to a translation team will ensure a high translation quality.

Thank you,
Bogdan

Hey, I changed the mode to structured and assigned the team to the GNOME Translations team. Is this what you suggested? Should I create/use a different team?

Hi,

I don't think that creating a different team is a good idea.

I rather consider using the Ubuntu Translations Team

https://translations.edge.launchpad.net/+groups/ubuntu-translators

GNOME Translators team has only a few languages available, while Ubuntu Translators cover o wide variaty of world languages and it is used by many other projects.

Can you please change it tu Ubuntu Translators Team ?

Many thanks!
Adi
