Requesting user name and email from Launchpad?

Asked by Jerry Chong

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask this, or if it's a Launchpad Server question. :P

Was testing out this library, and noticed that when logging in with Launchpad OpenID URLs it doesn't request the user's name and email by openid.sreg. Is this intended? I've tried setting 'name' and 'email' as 'required' when connecting to the host, but doesn't appear to work either.

I do know that Launchpad is capable of returning these attributes with the identity, for example with UbuntuOne (http://one.ubuntu.com), so I suspect it's a matter of setting sreg parameters...

Sorry about not noticing this question before it expired.

Launchpad currently only provides additional information via the Simple Registration extension if it has been explicitly configured to allow that site to request it.

If you need additional information, I suggest asking a question against Launchpad stating the information you need and why.

Can you help with this problem?
