Canon LBP 2900 Printer problem

I have successfully configured the printer canon LBP 2900. But the below mentioned problem is the issue

Upon test printing or printing of a file the monitor says that the 'printer is on-line' and the computer is 'processing' printing and then says 'completed' printing. But there is no actual printing. The printer which is on, remains idle. Please help me in making the printer work.

Click the print button. When print panel page opens.
Select the correct printer from the drop down box.
It might be labeled "Destination"
We will start with the simplest first.
