Severely outdated

Asked by Waruun

The latest release of vkd3d is now at 1.11 (https://gitlab.winehq.org/wine/vkd3d/-/releases)

So question is: why is Noble (and even Mantic) still running vkd3d v1.2? It was released over 3 years ago!

YOu have to be aware that Ubuntu is copying packages from Debian (to avoid double packaging work), and according to https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/vkd3d there is only version 1.2 available in Debian yet.

For getting a higher version into Ubuntu, Debian has to create a new package first.
There is already https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1033733 from a year ago (requesting an update to 1.7); you might comment on that bug report telling that there is even a newer version available.

Can you help with this problem?
