Update to version v2.4

Asked by Thomas Rupprecht

Is it possible to update the package "scrcpy" to v2.4 for 24.04?
There are already many new features and bug fixes in the newer versions

You have to be aware that Ubuntu is copying packages from Debian (to avoid double packaging work), and according to https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/scrcpy there is no scrcpy package with version 2.4 in Debian yet.

If you look at https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/noble-numbat-release-schedule/35649 you can see that "Feature Freeze" and "Debian Import" Freeze dates have already been passed.

So I conclude that the "standard" path for getting scrcpy version 2.4 into Ubuntu noble has been missed.

There are still some possibilities, e.g. a PPA built by somebody or a request for exception.

In any case for most of these workarounds a package with version 2.4 in Debian is a prerequisite, but there seem to be some blockers, see e.g. https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1042468

Can you help with this problem?
