want to prepare a bootable stick from a download 22.04 amd 64.iso. Would like to install on an empty Lenovo Thinkpad. The preparation i do with an old i86 architecture computer. How to create that bootable stick? Have downloaded balenaetcher, but this doesn't install (because amd64?). Is there any workaround?

What model of Lenovo Thinkpad do you have? 64bit CPUs have been around for ages.

It's called Machine Type 12M2, built in Nov 2023.
Do you have any idea how I could make progress with Etcher on the old 32 bit machine?

CPU is an Intel Core i3 1215U which is 64bit. Are you wanting to make the bootable USB on a 32bit OS? Is this the requirement?

The architecture of the system copying data is irrelevant to using a 64bit ISO.

This sounds very promising to me, thank you. May I ask you for help with the exact command line for an example? It’s years ago that I used the terminal and the little I knew I have forgotten… Thank you in advance.
